Please do not listen to the news or watch it on TV the last thing at night. The news is often a list of disasters, and you don’t want to take that into your dream state. Much clearing work is done in dreams. You can also ask your dreams for help with anything you are working on. You will often find an answer by the morning. Prepare yourself for sleep by doing something special that helps you calm down. You might use these affirmation:
Every corner of my world is a safe place.
Even in the dark of night when I sleep. I am safe.
I know tomorrow will take care of itself.
My dreams are dreams of joy.
I awaken feeling safe and secure.
I love waking up.
If I awaken with a dream, I ask it to tell me about itself.
Daily practice of your mental skills can begin before you open your eyes.
Silently, while still under the covers, give thanks for your cosy bed and all your many blessings.
