Worry gives small things a big shadow. – Swedish Proverb
Sometimes we like to worry about things that are not worth worrying about but our mind goes into overdrive
and leads us to believe that small things are actually massive. Some people worry more than others and
it can take a lot of practice to learn to worry less.
We can toss and turn worries around in our head and this is especially true when we are in bed trying to
quieten out mind so we can fall asleep. Suddenly little worries become magnified. When we wake in the morning
we realise they are actually not that big a deal at all.
Worrying takes a lot of energy and can leave us feeling drained. At the end of the day, it is only action that
can get things done. Spending time on worrying can be better spent on other things.
“Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.” – Randy Armstrong
