“A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world: everyone you meet is your mirror.”
― Ken Keyes Jr.
How great it is to have the spiritual knowledge that everyone we come into contact with and the way we react to them and treat them is the way we would like to be treated. When we show hostility, impatience, resentment or annoyance to another person, that can be how we feel about ourselves. What we say and how we say it can be a reflection of what is in our own hearts.
Hostile people may be struggling with their own issues of fear, rejection, anger and unhappiness. Being kind to people even when they are not kind to you takes practice and patience. The more we practice loving others, the more we will grow spiritually to be a better person.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:31 (The Bible)
