Many trials and troubles
Are scattered on our way,
Daily little crosses
Are a part of every day.
But the troubles we have suffered
Are over, passed, and through,
So why should bygone happenings
Keep on gravely troubling you?
And the problems that beset us
In the new and present hour
We need not try to solve alone
Without God’s grace and power
And those scheduled for tomorrow
Still belong to God alone –
They are still unborn and formless
And a part of the unknown.
So let us face the trouble
That is ours this present minute,
And count on God to help us
And put His mercy in it.
